Glen Beck wants to own racism & race relations. Beck purports to educate in order to stop and expose racism. We can all expose racism! Overt racism, but Glen Beck is part of that covert racism that prevails in the United States today. Of course we all see obvious racism and we know that every day it's even more rampant. However Beck and the rest of those extremist right wing pundits who purport to embrace minorities and women are part of that organized and funded effort to disguise racism and use organized puppets like the tea party to promote their agenda. While Beck and his "educated" Klan use code words to convince those who don't want to carry the tea party or extremist label, a concerted effort continues against a black man in a white house managed by a predominantly white controlled nation. A nation that insist on maintaining the culture of yesteryear. An America bent on turning back the hands of time, a desperate attempt to freeze the progress of America and to stop America's face from changing.

An unbelievable fear exists in the hearts and minds of Americans today. The fear that this will not only change from a White America or a Black America as previously feared during the struggle for civil rights of the fifties and sixties, but a Brown America. A country with a predominant majority of Latino faces. In 2010 America the likes of Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and the extremist splinter of the Republican party has sought to discredit the work of Martin Luther King, Mohandas Gandhi and Cesar Chavez. They have now turned their sights on blacks in America. They now have the Blacks on the defensive, and by keeping them occupied they are successfully dividing the minorities in this country. Divide & Conquer.

As it is the blacks in this country have clearly failed to aggressively step up to the plate to defend their Latino counterparts. They have stood back and watched an onslaught against "illegals" knowing full well that the attack was actually against Latinos in general. The blacks were sold a false bill of goods by the supposed moral white majority. They were told that they were part of this great country and that as such they should join this fight against the browning of America. They were told that brown people were stealing their jobs and that they were taking away opportunities that belonged to them.

Now I beg to ask the question? Why pray tell, would it be, that in accordance with the white pundits and the moral majority that the blacks would be the most affected by the advancement of Latinos in this country? Is that not a clear admission of the fact that blacks have never been given their just due? That they continue to remain on the lower rung of society? That this country is well aware of and actively works on the concept of maintaining minorities in lower paying jobs and in an oppressed state in order to allow a blonde haired blue eyed majority to rule as it has since the conception of this country. This would allow the ruling majority to continue the policy of transferring the wealth of this nation to one percent of its population.

Glen Beck's rally on Saturday August 28 a historic day marked by a famous speech given by a civil rights icon is an attempt to close the deal. An attempt to take control of not just the civil rights movement of blacks but to further spin the civil rights movement into one which places white America as the grantor of civil rights and whose rights are now under attack. To paint whites as the oppressed in America instead of the oppressor as it has been since European settlers arrived on this land and raped an pillaged in order to create what is now the United States.

I know, I know we must get on. Reparations have been made you say, ha! Ask the Native Americans, So the Japanese Americans were given some compensation for incarcerating them in internment camps for being Americans of Japanese descent, Blacks were given the right to vote and there was an effort to desegregate all white schools. Oh, I know!!!, I was one of the minorities being bused to an all white school to be the punching bag of white kids while America tried to adjust to the concept of minorities in all white schools.

So if so much has been done to quote unquote change America why are you and others complaining?

The fact is we are not so much complaining as fighting and screaming at the top of our lungs for survival because as your pundits carry your banner of  a "white America is the only America", as you spin the civil rights movement and make an all out effort to hijack the that movement, legal Latinos are kicking and screaming as they are being drug across the border and tossed into a country they don't know.

Why am I complaining? Because I have been the sole of your shoe for so many years.

Why am I complaining? Because I have been watching you demonize me and my people for centuries and the attack has quadrupled as of late.

Why am I complaining? Because 47 years prior to Glen Beck's disrespectful charade on the steps of the Lincoln memorial a reverend, a man of color delivered a message that contained a dream, not only on behalf of blacks but all those oppressed by the white majority. A dream converted into a plea for America. A plea for racial tolerance and for equality. A message meant to unite, to heal, to allow the breaking of chains once and for all from not just the existing binds but the virtual chains which up to that day continued to scar the black and minority communities in this country.

Why am I complaining? because on that very day that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his message to America you had a member of that modern day white majority attempting to re-secure those chains of bondage. Oh, don't get me wrong. Those chains have never been removed. They have hung there loosely as a reminder of who we are and what are place is in white America. Yesterday on the 28th day of August Glen Beck, a racist who promotes the ideology of nativism, who utilizes xenophobia to further scare white America, a man who daily wears a virtual pointed hood delivered a speech from the very steps of the Lincoln Memorial where Dr. King delivered his speech almost half a century ago.

Glen Beck's message did not serve the same purpose as  Dr. King's message, his message served to reverse much of the work done by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. Glen Beck's speech was titled "Restoring Honor". I have done my homework. I have studied this man. I have watched him for hours upon hours tiredly bring guest after guest to his television program to explain how the Whites have been the ones who have granted minorities opportunities in this country. He has brought historians to spin and distort historical facts or to create their historical inaccuracies.

This my friends is the culmination of Glen Beck's efforts to seize the civil rights movement, to transfer what dignity blacks and minorities have been granted to them by the likes of Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Cesar Chavez and other true minority leaders. An organized and systematic effort strip us of that which we have clung onto for years, our glimmer of hope that we could build on that foundation for a better diverse and racially tolerant America. An America where we would not be judged by our skin but the content of our character as Dr. King so eloquently put it on that day in 1963 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in front of the statute of the first American with the guts to attempt to change the treatment of minorities.

My dear friends, have no doubt, be assured that in 2010 America you as a minority are slowly losing what rights you had and that there is a concerted effort to strip you of what little dignity you have left. You are under the microscope. You are being targeted. You and you and you will be next. The question is,  starting today, the day after that historic day on which Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and the day after Glen Beck trampled on that speech, what will you do? Before you read this and walk away, I ask you to ponder another piece of history written by Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemöller.

They came first for the Communists,

and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

¿Qué Prefieres?

¡Obama no quiere hacer lo que nos prometió! ¡Han aumentado los números de deportaciones desde que Obama entro en oficio! ¿Es cierto que nació en Kenya? Oigo decir que es Musulmán. El ataque contra nuestro presidente es constante y en muchísimos casos sin fundación. Entiendo que el Presidente Obama es político. Entiendo que hay casos en que un político promete algo y no cumple con su palabra ya que esa promesa vacía era plan con maña. Pero en el caso de nuestro Presidente y la reforma migratoria es obvio que no le quedo suficiente capital político para poder llevar a cabo una reforma migratoria en el congreso ya que ha perdido el apoyo de su propio partido por no cumplir con los intereses personales de las gigantes corporaciones en los varios estados. Mientras que doce a veinte millón de indocumentados están enojados porque Obama no les quiere dar una reforma, tres cientos millones de Estado Unidenses legales están exigiendo su propia agenda. Entre ellos la agenda gay, afro americana, la Cristiana, la judía, la musulmana y muchas otras. Todo mundo quiere su pedazo de pastel, y lo quiere ahorita. Mientras que muchos exigen, otros andan en una campaña agresiva de dañar la imagen de nuestro presidente que en turno resulta en menos capital político. Esos ultra conservadores lo utilizan a usted y a sus pseudo lideres. No pasa una semana que no se ven esos charlatanes de activismo en los noticieros utilizando el espacio para echarle la culpa al Presidente Obama por todo lo negativo que afecta a la comunidad Hispana sabiendo bien que ellos son los que fallaron en suficientemente promover el voto y en lanzar a candidatos viables para tomar posesión de la política local, estatal y nacional. ¿A qué punto van a tomar responsabilidad por sus fallos estos pseudo lideres? ¿A qué punto va a despertar usted y realizar que esta como esta, por ellos? ¿Ha tomado el tiempo usted de hacer un analices real? ¿Sabiendo lo que sabe usted hoy día de John McCain y Sarah Palin usted hubiera preferido tener a John McCain como presidente? ¿La contesta es obvia verdad? Acuérdense que las elecciones de 2012 están al dar la vuelta. Si ustedes siguen siendo parte del problema y siguen atacando a nuestro presidente es muy probable que pierda las elecciones de 2012 y entre un Republicano quizás peor que McCain. Así es que le recuerdo, tenga cuidado con lo que desea. Porque si usted cree que la cosa esta mal ahorita en dos años podemos salir de Guatemala a meternos a Guatapeor.

No Dejes Que Alguien Mas Te Los Instruya

Cada día estudio los programas de ultra conservadores y racistas. Tengo que hacerlo. Es mi deber. Es mi trabajo y al fin es mi responsabilidad. Como es la responsabilidad de cada uno de ustedes. ¡Ya sé, ya sé! Llega cansadísimo a casa y todavía tener que instruirse. ¿No le parece verdad? Prefiere prender la tele y ver una novela o un programa de espectáculos o comedia. Como lo ve usted es tiempo de relajarse ya que cada día lo trabajan como mula de carga. Pero a un punto tenemos que llegar a la realización que si nosotros no nos instruimos en lo que pasa al nuestro alrededor, en la política y en asunto sociales, no vamos a salir de este Hoyo negro en que estamos. Es la falta de información que nos tiene amolados. Es la ignorancia de seguir ciegamente a pseudo líderes a marchas en las calles en vez de realizar que debíamos de ver estado marchando a las urnas. Esa falta de información no solo nos ha causado daño irrevocable pero les hemos fallado a nuestros hijos. Usted ha permitido que un sector de la comunidad controle todo lo que pasa en Arizona, los Estados Unidos y hasta en su casa. En no instruirse usted no puede instruir a sus hijos. Usted diario les permite esa chamba a profesores en las escuelas. Usted ni conoce a esos profesores y mucho menos conoce la ideología que ellos promueven en sus salones. Tampoco realiza usted que los amiguitos Anglo Sajones de sus hijos cada día reciben la instrucción de parte de sus padres conservadores y en muchos casos racistas. Esos hijos de…..Racistas, en turno instruyen a “sus” hijos con ideología fracasada que poco por poco infecta la mente y la personalidad de su criatura. En poco tiempo su hijo o hija tiene vergüenza ser mexicano y hasta vergüenza tiene que usted venga a la escuela o que sus compañeros lo conozcan ya que usted representa todo lo que ellos deben de oponer.  Si no tomamos control de nuestra educación y la de nuestros hijos seguiremos siendo la suela del zapato del ultra conservador, racista, xenófobo y ese que pretende conservar la cultura Americana que ellos conocen y aceptan. Les pido, no, les ruego que ustedes se instruyan y que instruyan a sus hijos. Porque al fin usted me está afectando a mí, ya que yo comparto este estado y este mundo con ustedes, y, pues, mis hijos van a la escuela con los de ustedes.

Los Ángeles Del Desierto

Aunque hoy día todo el enfoque está en la SB1070 y el clima racial ardiendo en Arizona decidí escribir sobre otro tema igualmente importante que tiene que ver con otro lugar que arde. El desierto de Arizona entre la frontera de México y nuestro estado racista Arizona. Cada día inmigrantes se avientan a hacer ese viaje rumbo a los estados unidos buscando el sueño Americano. Todo comienza en su país natal con promesas de una cruzada fácil y esperanzas de hacer una buena lana ya que llegan a los Estados Hundidos de América. Tradicionalmente alguien conoce a un coyote que les cobra una suma para traerlos en rumbo a Arizona. Ya cruzando varios estados Mexicanos o fronteras si vienen de un país en Centro América se encuentran en la frontera listos para hacer esa cruzada por el desierto imperdonable de Arizona. Los coyotes les dicen que el camino va a ser de unas cuantas horas cuando en realidad puede ser días de camino por ese desierto desgastante. Si uno mide las temperaturas en las piedras pueden llegar hasta temperaturas de 130 grados pero cuando uno mide la temperatura en la arena llega entre 150 a 160 grados. Lo primero que sientes es un dolor en las rodillas ya que el calor se irradia por las piernas. El calor es tan fuerte que te comienza a paralizar y te pegan calambres permanentes en la pantorrilla. Luego de caminar un poco más comienza un zumbido increíble e insoportable. Luego los mareos y la nausea con un dolor de cabeza que sientes que va a explotar. Pronto la persona se comienza a desorientar y la angustia comienza. A ver ese desierto sin fin no sólo es frustrante, pero te deja sin esperanza de continuar. Luego comienzan los espejismos en el desierto. Parece ser que ves algo en la distancia. Una estructura, quizás otras personas, pero cuando llegas realizas que son solo piedras. La sed es tanta que de lejos vez agua. Por todo el desierto vez agua ya que la arena refleja como agua con el brillo del sol que te sigue penetrando como que si estuvieras en un gran ornó de cientos de millas cuadradas. No hay escape. No hay ayuda. Si te lastimas en el camino te abandona el coyote con promesas que te va a mandar a alguien y el grupo continúa. En muchos casos de conviertes en parte de esas estadísticas de personas que han fallecido cruzando el desierto imperdonable de Arizona. A ese tiempo se requiere de alguien que responda para recuperar los restos humanos que quedan en el desierto sin velorios y en necesidad de ser sepultados. Ahí es donde entra la organización Ángeles Del Desierto. Es organización nació de un llamado público de unas personas desaparecidas en la rumorosa, un espacio de región montañosa tan imperdonable como el desierto de Arizona. Rafael Hernández y su hermano se lanzaron a ser voluntarios. Buscando agregarse a una organización que ya existiera de rescate, se encontraron con que no existía tal organización. Solos se fueron equipados a la rumorosa a encontrar a los perdidos. Lo que se encontraron fue increíble. Más de veinte personas perdidas y en necesidad de primeros auxilios. Meses después salieron de nuevo en el verano y rescataron a dos personas una de ellas que comento que ellos eran Ángeles Del Desierto. El nombre se le quedo a Rafael y a su grupo de valientes y hoy día trabajan arduamente para salvar a esos perdidos en las montañas o en el desierto de Arizona. Desgraciadamente la mayoría de las llamadas que reciben es para recuperación de cadáveres en el desierto. Parientes desesperados por si quiera regresar los restos de sus parientes a casa para poder sepultarlos con la dignidad que merecen. Hoy acabo de recibir varias fotos y información de parte de Rafael Hernández y Los Ángeles Del Desierto que ellos recibieron de familiares pidiendo ayuda. Este fin de semana saldremos con Los Ángeles Del Desierto como voluntarios a buscar los cuerpos de nuestros hermanos fallecidos en el desierto. Por favor haga su parte y llame a su familiar en México o en su país natal y dígale que no vale la pena arriesgar su vida en este desierto imperdonable ya que al salir del desierto ardiendo entraran a un estado que hoy día no los quiere aquí y que arde tanto como el desierto, pero de racismo y odio por el que se atrevió a cruzar en busca del sueño Americano.
